John – you're a key part of this movement, so I wanted you to hear the recent good news:

Recent polls from Survey USA and POLITICO | Morning Consult show I am statistically TIED for second place and within striking distance. While these public polls aren't conclusive, one thing is clear – we have the momentum we need to win! Now we need the necessary resources to run an effective campaign. Black women candidates on average raise much less than their white peers – so we have to make every dollar count.  

So please: Will you rush a donation right now to make sure I have the resources I need to pull ahead in the polls and win this race? With the race this competitive, everything we do in this moment is absolutely critical to victory.

These polls prove two things:

First, our plan for a progressive future is resonating with voters – and we're closing the gap in the polls quickly. 

Second, I'm winning over voters as they learn more about my progressive record and story of public service. But if I'm going to pull ahead and take the lead in this race, I need your help today.

My FEC end-of-quarter deadline is on Sunday, and I'm on track to fall short. I know I can pull ahead, but I'll need your help. So I'm humbly asking:

Will you chip in $5 or more – whatever you can spare – so I have the resources I need to pull ahead in the polls and win this race? Right now, this race is statistically tied, so everything we do in this moment is absolutely critical to victory.
