I became governor when I was 38. When I was sworn in, my husband, Michael, and I had two young kids. Being governor was one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had. But it wasn’t easy.
I had to balance the demands of the job, lead our state through historic floods and horrific tragedies, all while we raised our two young children.
On top of the basic demands that come with the titles of governor and mom, I’m a proud military wife. While I was governor, my husband, Michael, was deployed to a combat zone for a year. It was the first time the spouse of a sitting governor was deployed to a combat zone.
In everything I do, I put 110% into it. So, no matter what each day brings, I make sure to spend every one of them fighting for a stronger and brighter future.
As governor, I was dubbed a “jobs governor” because I slashed our unemployment rate, brought jobs back to our state, and shepherded in a successful economic recovery.
After I served as governor, I served as U.S. ambassador to the UN. At the UN I fought for America, made sure our allies knew we had their backs, and stood up to murderers and dictators to let them know that America was taking names.
I’ve watched the American Dream unfold before me. I’ve seen that even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America. But I also know that under Biden’s leadership, times are tough and America can be doing so much better.
I’m running for President because America can do better, and I know how. I know how to make America strong and proud because I’ve done it before. And I’ll do it as your next President.
Right now, I’m coming up against an important deadline and a critical stretch of my campaign.
We’re just 18 days away from the first votes taking place in Iowa, 26 days away from New Hampshire going to the polls, and just 3 days away from my FEC end-of-year fundraising deadline.
My name is Nikki Haley. I want to tell you a bit about myself and why I’m running for President of the United States.
I’m running for President because my parents came to America more than 50 years ago – an America that was strong and proud, and full of opportunities. I want them to know that America again.
I’m running for President as a military spouse. My husband is deployed and I want him and his military brothers and sisters to know their sacrifice means something – that we do love this country.
I’m running for President for the future of our kids. I have a daughter who just got married and I saw how hard it was for her and her husband to buy a home. I’m doing this for my son who’s a senior in college and shouldn’t have to worry about saying things on a paper that he doesn’t believe in just to get an A.
I’m running for my daughter, my son, and our future generations. I want them to experience the freedom and opportunity that the American Dream has to offer.
I’m running for President because we have a country to save!
I’ve seen that even on our worst days, we are blessed to live in America. But I also know that under Biden’s leadership, times are tough, our future is slipping, and America can be doing so much better.
As governor, I was dubbed a “jobs governor” because I slashed our unemployment rate, brought jobs back to our state, and shepherded in a successful economic recovery.

I know how to make America strong and proud because I’ve done it before. And I’ll do it as your next President.
As President, I’ll revitalize our economy, support small businesses, stop Washington’s spending sprees, protect our border, champion school choice, and save America’s future.
