Friend, I hope you’re having a safe and healthy holiday season with friends, family, and loved ones.

I wanted to catch you before you log off or get back to your holiday vacation to update you on the state of our campaign as the end of the year nears.

Last month, I officially declared my reelection campaign after this amazing team of supporters helped gather 2,860 signatures from across all seven counties in IL-13 and surpassed the number of signatures needed to get your name on the ballot by more than 2,000.

Soon after, I reached out to you in an email just like this and asked if folks would stand with me as a founding donor of my reelection campaign, and saw an incredible response.

Now, our campaign has momentum on our side, and we’re making preparations for the election year including planning ad buys, hiring to build out our field staff, and getting ready to combat any attack ads and right-wing misinformation coming our way.

All of that (and more!) will require a lot of resources, and that’s why I’m reaching out to you ahead of our December 31st deadline to see if you can help ensure we have the resources we need heading into the new year.
