Corona Virus Plan at Consonant
As communities around the world are struggling with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to reach out and address the concerns about the novel coronavirus and tell you the steps we are taking in our offices to continue keeping people safe and healthy.
We have advised any staff member who is worried they have symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) to stay home in line with the latest guidelines. We have paid sick leave in accordance with policy for all of our staff who are self-isolating.
Our number one priority is the safety of our service users, staff and volunteers. At Consonant, our staff follow strict hygiene protocols and we have been reinforcing this in line with the latest government advice guidelines. However, following the government’s advice yesterday, we have made a decision to suspend non-urgent activities until further notice.
We are therefore suspending the following Integration and Community Development services until further notice.
- Counselling.
- All ESOL classes.
- One-to-one advice - Welfare Benefit, Careers and ESOL assessments
- Integration workshops – on employability, civic and health
- Wellbeing Walks
- Holistic Health Clinics
Meantime, we are exploring ways of providing some of these services online.
Most of us will be working remotely and we can be contacted through our email. For general information and advice about our services, we suggest to email at [email protected] and the enquiry will be forwarded to the relevant person.
We are monitoring the situation to make sure we are all taking all precautions to protect our service users and colleagues alike.
Thank you for taking time to read this message and please take of yourselves.
