Our FEC end-of-quarter deadline is this Sunday at midnight, and we’re still running almost $12,000 behind where we need to be. This FEC end-of-quarter deadline is, without a doubt, the most important challenge our campaign has faced yet, so in order to stay competitive in this race, we have to catch up. Can I count on you to pitch in $10 to help us close the fundraising gap before we have to publish our fundraising numbers on Sunday night? – Janelle On Wednesday, December 27, 2023 Janelle Bynum wrote: ![]() Hi everyone – It’s Janelle! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Now that the Christmas chaos has passed, I wanted to reach out with a really critical campaign update. And I’ll be honest: This may be the most important note I’ve ever sent you. This Sunday at midnight, our campaign will be facing our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline of 2023. As you may remember from September, this means we’re legally required to publicize our fundraising numbers to the Federal Election Commission for the general public to see. I’ll explain more in a moment, but this is – without a doubt – the biggest obstacle our campaign has faced to date. Please, will you chip in $10 to help us post the strongest end-of-quarter report possible?
Here’s why this matters so much: Everyone from reporters to political strategists to Lori Chavez-DeRemer herself will be able to scour our public fundraising report, looking for any potential signs of weakness within our campaign. And in a TOSS UP district like ours – and one that is so critical in the fight for the House Majority – these people will be hyper-focused on our report to assess whether we have what it takes to defeat Rep. Chavez-DeRemer and actually flip OR-05 blue next year. Any signs of weakness could be detrimental to our campaign. But here’s the caveat: Where things stand right now, our campaign is running $15,000 behind where we absolutely need to be when we publish our report. That’s why I’m coming to you personally. With just a few days to go before the quarter ends, I desperately need your help. Can I count on you to pitch in $10 to help us catch up before our end-of-quarter deadline this Sunday?
Thank you so much. I can’t do it without you. Janelle |
