John,
As our climate crisis worsens each year, the threat of wildfires looms larger over Washington each year. Too often, we’ve seen communities devastated by fast-burning fires or choked in the smoke from burning forests and grasslands. With a growing threat to life and property, Hilary Franz knew she needed to take action to rethink the way our state responds to these crises.
Under Hilary’s leadership, Washington has emerged as a national leader in wildfire prevention. She led the charge to increase funding for mitigation and prevention, so our frontline workers have the resources they need on the job.
Hilary's work as an advocate for our emergency workers is why groups like the Washington Fire Chiefs, Gig Harbor Firefighters Local 3390, South Kitsap Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2876, East Pierce County Firefighters Local 3520, and West Pierce Fire Fighters IAFF Local 1488 have lined up behind her campaign for Washington's 6th Congressional District.
Our heroes stand with Hilary as the most pro-labor lands commissioner in our state’s history, and we can expect nothing less from her in Congress. But to get there, Hilary needs your help.
We're up against our first FEC fundraising deadline of this race and still $9,616 short of our grassroots goal. Posting strong grassroots fundraising numbers is critical to securing our place in this race. So, can Hilary count on you to contribute $10 right now to help us reach our $25,000 FEC fundraising goal?
