My commitment to Brady's mission is personal. When I was 19, my mother was killed in a senseless act of gun violence. This was the 18th Christmas morning I woke up on without her joy and laughter filling our home. I learned the hard way that no community — and no family — is safe from gun violence, and as long as the NRA holds power, that won’t change.
