BREAKING: Devin Nunes went on TV and said that "it's a great time to go to a local restaurant" and urged people to "go out to their local pub."(1)

This is literally the most irresponsible thing that a public official could say right now.

Experts are saying that all of us -- including people with no symptoms -- need to "hunker down" and practice social distancing to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Devin Nunes has become a clear and present threat to public safety. We MUST defeat him in November. Will you donate $5?

Public-health experts warn that the most important thing right now is to "flatten the curve" -- or, in other words, slow down the spread of coronavirus so that hospitals don't become overwhelmed. If the disease continues to spread at its current pace, people will die because they simply can't get care.(2)

But as of last week, only 26 percent of Republican voters were taking coronavirus seriously enough to practice social distancing, compared to more than half of Democrats. That's a direct result of the kind of misinformation spread by Nunes, Fox News, and Trump.

It's no exaggeration to say that people will die because of what Devin Nunes told people.

Nunes voted against Congress' COVID-19 relief bill and paid sick leave for workers.(3) If he really wanted to help those suffering from the coronavirus-related economic downturn, he could support expanded unemployment benefits, childcare for health-care workers and first responders, and provide free testing and medical care for those exposed. Instead, he encouraged people to disregard the CDC and go out drinking.

The only shred of good news is that we nearly defeated Nunes in 2018, and have a plan to finish the job this November:

• We're running an in-depth polling campaign in Nunes' district to identify the most effective messages to turn voters against him.
• We're preparing a comprehensive voter guide to make sure voters have all the information they need at the polls.
• We'll run digital ads aimed at people most likely to vote, and billboards to reach rural and suburban voters we might not be able to get online.
• Finally, we'll remind confirmed anti–Nunes voters to vote with our super-effective text-messaging campaign.

Time and again, Devin Nunes has proven himself to be unfit for public office, but this latest example could be the worst yet. All we need to defeat him for reelection is you, Friend. Will you help kick Devin Nunes out of Congress?
