Support Free Speech Today Defending free speech isn't free … and is worthy of your support. There's still time to act in 2023! Hello John, No doubt you’ve been following the news – 2023 has been a critical year for free speech, to say the least. From parents getting shut down by school board members wanting to censor critics to professors losing their careers because they stood up for their academic freedom against “woke” dogma, everyday there’s another story that confirms that our First Amendment rights are under constant attack. And we predict that 2024 will bring with it a fresh array of additional challenges (and opportunities) for political free speech rights, particularly as it relates to campaign finance laws that protect the status quo and make it hard to criticize incumbents. By the way, I don’t think I’ve introduced myself. My name is Doug Granger and I’m the Institute for Free Speech’s new Director of Development. Nice to meet you! So, you know I’m thrilled to let you know that supporters of free speech have really outdone themselves this year. Your generous contributions have allowed us to take on the largest number of cases in our nearly 20-year history and educate more of the American public on free speech issues. The proof is in the pudding – when you invest in the Institute for Free Speech, you are making a tangible impact on First Amendment political free speech rights – no other organization fights and wins more cases in this area of the law. That’s the kind of return on investment in the future of America that cannot be understated. With that said, will you help us build on our historic momentum by making a one-time or monthly tax-deductible donation today at ifs.org/donate? There are only a few days left to get the most out of your 2023 tax-deductible charitable donations, so why not invest in free speech instead of giving more money to the IRS? Thank you for all that you do to defend liberty, John. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at [email protected] or via my direct line (202) 301-9100 so I can learn more about your interest in free speech and help you achieve your philanthropic goals in 2024. Wishing you a Happy New Year!
