Right now, 389 birds are at increasing risk of extinction from climate change, and with many species suffering population declines. The Golden-cheeked Warbler is one of the birds whose very survival is at risk due to the rise in global temperatures.
In fact, it’s estimated that 1.5 million acres—nearly a third of the Golden-cheeked Warbler’s home range—disappeared between 1999 and 2011. That’s in addition to 25% of remaining Golden-cheeked Warblers disappearing too.
As you can see, there isn’t a moment to waste to help protect vulnerable birds. Which is why we want to make sure we end this year on the right foot so we’re ready to hit the ground running in 2024. We’re counting on 315 generous bird lovers before midnight to keep us on pace. Will you start your annual gift right now to help make that happen? This compassionate choice is a convenient way to provide uninterrupted resources our teams can depend on in their work to defend birds year after year. ([link removed])

We’re defending the laws that protect birds at risk, advocating for strong legislation like the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, keeping important habitats resilient, and fighting for the bold climate action birds need now.
We know these actions can—and will— build a brighter future for at-risk birds. But we can’t continue advocating for the right solutions without your help.
