Team, I just wanted to let you know that since I reached out yesterday, we've successfully raised more than $40,000 for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank!

Every $100 provides 400 meals, so with your support, we just paid for 160,000 meals for those in need.

If you didn't have a chance to give yesterday and want to make an impact, pitch in $10 or whatever you can afford now to help families and workers affected by the coronavirus.

Team,

Life in America has drastically changed over the course of the past two weeks as a result of the coronavirus or COVID-19, and leading infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci warned the country this weekend that “the worst is yet to come.”

This virus is causing a health crisis, but it’s also an economic crisis for millions of families. Many families and the elderly are struggling to afford or even find basic necessities like toilet paper, soap, and canned or boxed food to hold them over during this indefinite period of social distancing. With schools closing and millions of children at home, many of them are no longer receiving free school meals for breakfast and lunch, putting even more financial pressure on families.

This is a time for us to come together as a country, team. It’s the only way we’ll get through this, flatten the curve of this disease, and take care of our family, friends, and neighbors who are most vulnerable.

While Democrats and Republicans in the House were able to come together this weekend and pass the bipartisan Families First CoronaVirus Response Act, which would guarantee paid sick leave to millions of workers and their families affected by the virus, bolster food aid, and provide free testing for people suspected of being infected, we’re still waiting for the Senate to pass it and for President Trump to sign it into law. In the meantime, there’s plenty we as Americans can do to help each other, including supporting our local food banks.

Food banks need our support now more than ever. That’s why I’m asking if you’ll join me in supporting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank today: pitch in $10 or whatever you can afford to help those struggling to get the necessities they need during this crisis:

This is without a doubt one of the most challenging moments in both our individual lives and society as a whole. I will always put my faith in Americans to come together during a crisis. We will get through this and look out for each other as we do.

Stay safe and healthy,

Adam
