As 2023 closes, it’s time to celebrate our achievements and build momentum to face what comes next.

Our yearly Amazon in Focus report highlights the many victories and, of course, coming threats to the Amazon. These include the historic vote in Ecuador to keep oil in the ground in the Yasuní National Park, as well as the ongoing and critical fight to preserve Indigenous land rights in Brazil by defeating “Marco Temporal” and expanding the demarcation of Indigenous lands.

We are so proud and honored to have worked closely with Indigenous peoples, organizations, and movements to achieve these historic victories. In 2024, we will build upon them to protect Indigenous land rights and preserve the Amazon for the benefit of us all.
