Shamaine is a longtime resident of the district, but she’s more than just a resident. Shamaine is a leader in the community. Now in her third term as a member of Harrisburg City Council, Shamaine has spent ten years serving many of the constituents that she wants to serve in Congress.
As an elected official, Shamaine understands the responsibility of governing better than any Democratic candidate in the race. As a member of the City Council, Shamaine has helped to pass budgets and address real problems. As a municipal official, Shamaine and her colleagues don’t have the option to shut down city government when they disagree. Instead, they work together to get the job done because they know their constituents are counting on them.
Shamaine has worked hard to get results on the challenges faced by her community.
