Essex-Windsor EMS paramedics ratify new contract

Ambulance smashed in Saskatoon as violence against paramedics increases

From Nov. 16: A window was smashed on an ambulance in Saskatoon on Sunday as first responders were dealing with a patient in serious condition. Medavie Health Services West said paramedics were around 20th Street between Second and Third Avenue between 5:50 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. when their driver-side window was smashed out while they were attending to the patient. Province issues RFPs for province-wide ambulance service

From May 11: The provincial government is moving on to the next steps of establishing a province-wide ambulance service. The move to consolidate 60 separate road ambulance services was first announced in the 2023 budget, with $9 million set aside for the process. Read More
