Ambulance smashed in Saskatoon as violence against paramedics increases

From Nov. 16: A window was smashed on an ambulance in Saskatoon on Sunday as first responders were dealing with a patient in serious condition. Medavie Health Services West said paramedics were around 20th Street between Second and Third Avenue between 5:50 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. when their driver-side window was smashed out while they were attending to the patient. Read More

P.E.I. paramedics to see wage increase with new contract

From June 8: After two years of bargaining, Prince Edward Island's paramedics' union has ratified a new contract with Island EMS. Paramedics will see an hourly wage increase of between 27 and 29 per cent over three years. Read More
