Dear community,
In order to transform our society, we must pair policy change with cultural shifts. With the launch of our Trans Agenda for Liberation Narrative Lab, we continue to plant seeds for a future that allows all of us to be our limitless selves.
Our trans community is creative and filled with abundant wisdom. We’ve been able to tap into that in order to address anti-trans legislation and violence.

Our Roots of Anti-Trans Violence Reports and journalist guides are among the work we’ve done to illuminate the role of institutions–like our government, healthcare, and housing systems–in placing trans people in harm’s way.
This past year, we launched a campaign to expand the conversation on the potential dangers of expanding hate crime legislation, as well as a zine highlighting the voices of trans youth. Next year, we’ll be releasing our first short film that captures the wisdom of our local leaders across the country.
Our Narrative Lab builds on TLC's role as a weaver of trans narratives through messaging research that pinpoints the language that shapes our culture and public perceptions of trans people. And it fuels opportunities for grassroots organizations around the country to do the same.
