In Ukraine, winter has only begun, but frigid temperatures, snow, and wind
storms have already battered civilians living through war — many without
electricity, gas, or running water.

Harsh winter conditions are a threat
to millions of people in places like Ukraine, Syria, and Afghanistan.

A group of generous donors has contributed $142,000 to our Matching Gift
Challenge Fund to encourage our community of supporters to match their
gifts. [ [link removed] ]With your matching gift today, together you will help us go 2X
as far to support families in need around the world this giving season —
make your tax-deductible gift by credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple
Pay today.

Families gathered in Kyiv amid frigid temperatures last winter as a Mercy
Corps partner distributed essential items, such as clothing and hygiene
supplies.

Right now, it’s estimated that 17.6 million people need humanitarian
assistance nearly two years after the full-scale war began in Ukraine. The
war continues to threaten lives and damage civilian infrastructure. Damage
from attacks on energy, water, and gas systems will drive up humanitarian
needs as temperatures drop below freezing this winter.

Mercy Corps and our local partners are ramping up our efforts to reach
families during these winter months. We’re helping families purchase
critical cold-weather necessities and delivering essential items like
food, hygiene products, bedding, and shelter kits.

Your
support is critical to powering our work to help families emerge from
crisis and look toward a more vibrant future. [ [link removed] ]Can we count on you to
make your tax-deductible, matching year-end gift to support Mercy Corps’
humanitarian response in places like Ukraine and 40+ countries in the year
ahead?

simple: Every dollar we raise right now helps the people we work with
protect their families and improve their lives. If you’ve already made
your gift (thank you!) or would rather not get our year-end emails,
