John, there were almost twice as many mass shootings as there were days in 2023.

Just two months ago, the nation watched in horror as a gunman armed with an assault weapon killed 18 people in Lewiston, ME. Unfortunately, it's a scene that's all too familiar for our country. From Monterey Park to Nashville to El Paso, our communities are being devastated by these weapons of war. And though the news cycle may continue to move on, these communities are left changed forever.
