Dear Fellow Patriot,
Yesterday morning, as the nation continued to
grind to a halt over Coronavirus fears, Senate Majority Leader
Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his Deep State lieutenants marched
back into the Senate with a chess board many believed was set for
them to ram phony FISA "reform" (H.R. 6172) through the Senate
with ZERO changes!
After all, it wasn't too long ago, the Deep
State could count on a rubber stamp from the politicians in the
Washington, D.C. "Swamp" for whatever abuse of liberty they
dreamed up, provided they cloaked it under a veil of "national
security."

Today, they face a new reality after Campaign
for Liberty members like you once again turned up the heat on the
Senate deluging their office with petitions and phone calls.

Campaign for Liberty members' efforts defied
the predictions of the so-called political experts by not only
forcing the Senate to allow three controversial surveillance
provisions to expire temporarily but also making it 100% clear
SHAM FISA reform is unacceptable.

But our fight is far from over!

The truth is, BOTH parties' congressional
leaders have poorly managed (intentionally, no doubt) each
extension of Deep State spying powers they've proven they'll
abuse.
The reason is simple -- they know Americans
are leery of unelected, unaccountable government agents having so
much RAW power.
So, they bring each renewal down to the last
minute and use that as a reason to ram something through before
the sky falls and promise to fix it "next time."
As a result, yet another showdown looms this
summer over FISA reform and permanent reauthorization of the
so-called "USA Freedom Act" -- among the crown jewel of the Deep
State's blatantly unconstitutional spying programs on law-abiding
Americans.

The good news is, thanks to your action and
that of tens of thousands of other patriots, Congress will be
forced into real debate when this battle resumes.
Warrantless Deep State spying on you, me, or
any law-abiding American -- for even for a second -- is just
plain wrong.

The fact is, despite the Deep State's
promises, domestic government spying has never done anything to
catch a terrorist.

For you and me, that's no surprise.

Of course, that's never what these schemes
have been about.

From the beginning, they've ALWAYS been about
shutting up voices like yours and mine who support American
freedom.

Fellow Patriot, I never will remain silent about
Deep State minions in Congress, or anywhere else in government,
striping away our liberties.

And I know without the willingness of
Campaign for Liberty members like you to stand up and oppose our
nation's slide toward more surveillance and more
authoritarianism, we would've never made it this far.
Campaign for Liberty will continue to demand
real debate and real reform and I hope I can count on you to keep
standing for liberty with me.
For Liberty,

Ron Paul
Chairman
P.S. The truth is, thanks to your action and
support, we've made massive progress in our fight to rein in the
surveillance state -- landing heavy blows many thought
impossible only a few years ago.
You and I forced Congress to allow three
controversial surveillance provisions to expire temporarily over
the weekend when the chips were stacked overwhelmingly in the
Deep State's favor.
BOTH parties' Congressional "leaders" may
have kicked the can on real reform of FISA and the Deep State's
warrantless domestic snooping powers on Americans, but only
because you and me made it 100% clear Americans won't tolerate
their SHAM FISA reform.
So with the stage set for real debate and
real reform when this battle resumes, I hope you'll please
consider chipping in to help ensure we're prepared to crank up
the heat to get this done.
