Let’s talk about Florida. I know some people like to write us off, but I know that in 2024 we can prove them wrong. We’re a diverse state full of people who believe that we all have a right to a better future. I am proud to support Debbie for the U.S. Senate because I know she’s the leader who can make that vision of a better future a reality for millions of Floridians — and I hope you’ll join us by making a split donation to our campaigns today.

In my district, and everywhere I go around the state I hear Floridians talk about the issues they’re facing, and the inaction from our leaders in the GOP. We’re on the front lines of the climate crisis, but Rick Scott has dismissed it as “nuisance flooding.” We’re one of the last safe havens for abortion in the South, but Rick Scott has supported a national abortion ban. We’re the state with the largest enrollment in the Affordable Care Act, but Rick Scott is still pushing to repeal it. We’ve witnessed mass shooting after mass shooting in our state, but in the Senate, Rick Scott has voted with the NRA 100% of the time.

These are all debates that should have been settled years ago — but GOP extremists like Rick Scott are trying to keep them alive in Florida. We can’t let them.

Debbie is a candidate who understands the challenges Floridians face every day. Like so many Floridians, she is an immigrant who is proof that the American Dream is a reality. She’s a mom who understands the importance of quality education and safe schools. She’s a daughter who is her aging mother’s caretaker, and has seen how critical programs like Medicare and Social Security are. She understands the gun violence crisis because she lost her father to gun violence, and has dedicated her career to creating a safer world. Debbie represents Floridians. Rick Scott represents himself.

This election has the potential to change our state for the better, but Debbie is up against Rick Scott and his multimillion-dollar fortune.
