John,

I don't know about you, but when things get tough I find the best thing to do is stay busy. Knuckle down and work the problem, whatever it is.

That's one of the reasons I decided to run for elected office in the first place. It's one thing to see a problem and complain about it, and quite another to actually do something about it.

And today, I'm writing to you because my campaign is in a tough spot.

We took some time off for the holidays. We knew we'd take a hit to our numbers, but we've fallen WAY behind where we need to be to hit our goals before this critical end-of-year FEC deadline.

I'm not complaining, and it's not your fault. But it's a problem – one we have to fix. So I need you with me today.

I need you to make a donation and help us get back on track. Because if we don't hit these goals we can’t run the kind of campaign we need to – a campaign that can fight off both Kyrsten Sinema and Kari Lake. A campaign that can win, that can defend our majority in the Senate, that can protect our democracy itself.

So if you can afford to chip in $5, please do. Or if that's not the right amount for you, chip in whatever you can. The most essential, vital thing is that you make that donation. [[link removed]]

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

CHIP IN $5 NOW [[link removed]]
CHIP IN $10 NOW [[link removed]]

CHIP IN $25 NOW [[link removed]]
CHIP IN $50 NOW [[link removed]]

CHIP IN $100 NOW [[link removed]]
ANOTHER AMOUNT [[link removed]]

It might not seem like your donation can make a difference at a time like this, but believe me: It can.

Because with hundreds of others joining you it'll all add up fast. A few people have probably already put in their $5 or more by the time you get to this point in the email. And they're hoping you will, too.

So thanks in advance for your help. Really. It means a lot.

Ruben
