Let me introduce myself: My name is Audrey, and I’m one of Janelle Stelson’s Student Fellows! I wanted to write a short note about why Janelle’s campaign to represent PA-10 in Congress matters and why you should support her.

Like so many women, I was devastated when I heard the news that Roe v. Wade had been overturned. I was in D.C. at the time and protested at the Supreme Court that day. I couldn’t believe that a right that the women before me fought so hard for was just taken away right before our very eyes.

As a young woman with my whole future ahead of me, reproductive freedom is an issue that my friends and I worry about on a regular basis. And our current Congressman Scott Perry wants a national abortion ban. That’s part of the reason I wanted to get involved in Janelle’s campaign. Janelle is a fighter: for women, for underprivileged communities, for all of us. I couldn’t be more proud to be in this fight with her.

But here’s the thing: Janelle is facing her big End-of-Quarter deadline, and meeting that deadline will be critical to her ability to defeat Scott Perry and his extremism.
