Hi John,

I hope you've had a wonderful holiday season, and I'm sorry to
impose between Christmas and New Year's. But the

**Year End Deadline** is here, and its importance cannot be overstated.
It's been a flashing light in the distance the last several months;
now, it's just days away.

but I did want to briefly touch upon the significance of this year. Our
impact in DC, after all, is what has caused Newsom and the National
Democrats to launch a full-scale campaign to defeat us. That's why an
overpowering end-of-year showing is vital to our success in 2024.

We went to DC to use the new Republican Majority - which our race
clinched - to hold Biden accountable and stop the decline of our
country. But we were also on a mission to do something no one else was:
to expose and counteract Newsom; to sound a warning to the rest of
America about his ruinous policies; to usher in a new post-COVID era of
sanity for California.

In the last year, we have used our seat in the House to make major gains
on all of these fronts - and to set the stage for potentially
transformative change in the year ahead.

You can help make that transformative change a reality with a Year-End
donation

Legislative Victories

Despite the narrow House majority and Democrat Senate and White House,
we have had a number of key legislative wins:

* Upon arriving in D.C. in January, I was selected to serve on the House
Judiciary Committee. I was also thankful to receive something rarely
given to freshmen: a gavel, as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Workforce
Protections.

* Among our first actions was to sponsor a bill to end the national
COVID emergency, which we got through the House and Senate and pressured
Biden into signing. We then compelled Biden to comply with legislation
we sponsored to end vaccine mandates for federal employees and
international travelers.

* DOD is now finally offering to "correct" the records of wrongfully
dismissed service members, a year after we got Biden to end the military
vaccine mandate. We also helped pass legislation that was signed into
law to de-classify all information linking the Wuhan Lab to the origins
of COVID.

* At my first hearing as Chair, we exposed Biden's attempt to inflict
Newsom's catastrophic policies on the entire country by nationalizing
AB 5. It had such an impact that Biden scrubbed from his website any
mention of Newsom's vile law. In addition, we secured an amendment
directing "no funds may be made available" to enforce Biden's
order.

* We introduced a School Choice Amendment, which was included in the
Parents Bill of Rights that passed the entire House of Representatives.
In addition, the House passed my Resolution condemning antisemitism on
college campuses.

* Our amendment to prohibit toddler mask mandates passed the House.

* Our landmark First Amendment legislation, stopping government
surveillance of journalists and forced disclosure of communications,
passed the Judiciary Committee unanimously.

* A bill we sponsored to freeze the $6 billion that Biden gave Iran
passed the House overwhelmingly.

* Following the discovery of the secret illegal Chinese bio lab in
California, we requested an investigation by the House. The Select
Committee on the Chinese Communist Party subsequently released a highly
disturbing report, and the fugitive behind the lab, Jesse Zhu, has been
arrested and charged in federal court.

* We have led the national movement for fentanyl dealers to be charged
with murder, by highlighting the successful conviction by our local
district attorney. Now even the California Attorney General is praising
the strategy, and we are sponsoring legislation to make murder
convictions obtainable in more cases.

* We helped pass H.R. 1435, which stops Newsom's plan to ban
gas-powered vehicles in California.

* We helped stop the mayors of five sanctuary cities from getting more
federal funding, and we introduced the first-ever standalone bill to end
"sanctuary" policies nationwide.

* Following the winter storms, we secured from the President a Major
Disaster Declaration for California.

* We led the opposition to Julie Su's nomination for Secretary of
Labor, and officially defeated her nomination when the Senate "returned"
it to the White House without a vote. In addition, our bill to oust Su
as "Acting Secretary," the Department of Labor Succession Act, passed
the Education and Workforce Committee.

* We sponsored legislation to forbid the Federal Reserve from issuing
Central Bank Digital Currency.

* We helped pass the Lower Energy Costs Act through the House, to allow
domestic energy production. We also helped pass the Protect Women and
Girls in Sports Act, as well as H.R. 2, the strongest border security
bill in history.

* On Day 1, the House reopened the U.S. Capitol to the public and ended
proxy voting.

The fact that we are not just fighting in DC, but getting results, is a
major reason there is now a target on our back.

Doses of Accountability

As a first-year Representative, I had the opportunity to cross-examine
as many Biden Administration officials as any member of the House. I
always sought to use my questioning time to create an actual impact,
whether through gaining information, forcing the witness into a
revealing answer, or simply demonstrating their ignorance.

* ATF Director Steve Dettelbach: we pressed him on whether he agrees
with the Second Amendment and he stunningly refused to say. He
wouldn't even deny wanting to repeal the Second Amendment.

* Education Secretary Miguel Cardona: We caught him in a lie when he
claimed that he did not promote student vaccine mandates, then read him
his own past statements where he did precisely that. We also showed that
he fabricated evidence to justify mandating masks for kids.

* Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su: Her stumbling responses to our
questions about EDD fraud, AB 5, Prop. 22, and California's
worst-in-the-nation economic record under Newsom were the final straw
that defeated her nomination.

* HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra: His unbelievable response to our
questions about child masking - at first denying, then dodging, and
finally refusing to disavow - captured everything wrong with the COVID
era. His inability to cite any health benefit set the stage for the
passage of our amendment to stop him from further child mask mandates.

* FBI Director Christopher Wray: In response to questions about the
targeting of parents, we got Wray to throw Attorney General Garland
under the bus. As the Daily Caller's headline put it: "FBI Director
distances himself from Merrick Garland's attempt to turn parents Into
terrorists."

* FTC Director Lena Khan: Our five-minutes of questioning helped put
the brakes on Khan's barely concealed socialist designs. The NY Times
coverage of the Judiciary Hearing led with our question: "You are now 0
for 4 in trials. Why are you losing so much?"

* Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas: We set a trap for
Mayorkas to tacitly admit Biden's policies are responsible for record
illegal border crossings and to expressly admit that California's
Sanctuary State is a threat to public safety.

* Attorney General Merrick Garland: In our long-awaited clash, several
observers noted that Garland became more rattled than at any time during
the hearing. One said, "Kiley sets a trap for Merrick Garland, makes him
look like a fool."

* OSHA Director Douglas Parker: The official responsible for the
illegal employee vaccine mandate, which targeted 84 million Americans,
tried to deny it ever happened. We put together a "COVID Memory Hole"
video showing the false testimony of Parker, Becerra, and Cardona, which
has received millions of views.

* DEA Administrator Anne Milgram: We put a spotlight on the corruption
investigation of Milgram for giving millions in no-bid contracts to her
friends and we got several key admissions as Milgram's
second-in-command tendered his resignation.

* John Durham: In our exchange with Durham, we turned the tables on
Schiff, Nadler, Swalwell, and Lieu, leading the Daily Caller to report:
"Rep. Kiley Closes the Book On Russia Collusion Hoax."

* Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: In a memorable exchange, after the
Congresswoman from New York asked when was the last time anyone said
"the government does too much," I provided a few examples.

* University Presidents: Our cross-examination wound up being part of
the most watched congressional hearing in history. It has already led to
the resignation of Penn's President and pressure grows on Harvard's
every day.

Because we've refused to let these officials get away with the damage
they're doing to our country, Biden is desperate to replace us with an
ally of his own.

To make sure that doesn't happen, I'd be tremendously grateful if you
can donate whatever you can for the Year-End deadline
.

Counteracting Newsom

Newsom seemed to believe that our arrival in Congress was going to make
his life easier. He could not have been more wrong. The impact of our
efforts is clear from a new LA Times poll showing Newsom's "standing
among California voters has hit an all-time low."

* Just weeks after arriving in DC, in response to my letter, the IRS
overruled California and held Newsom's "inflation relief" checks are
not taxable income.

* California's COVID vaccine mandate for K-12 students was officially
withdrawn at the beginning of the year, having never taken effect. This
was a huge victory for all the parents who joined together and fought
back.

* After we relentlessly pressured Newsom to end the State of Emergency,
his Public Health Department officially did so on February 28

* We shamed Newsom into ending several drought restrictions with a
speech on the House Floor featuring a visual of water cascading out of
Folsom Dam.

* After calling on all California universities to end their COVID
vaccine mandates, most campuses have now complied, though ignorance
still reigns at 5 CSUs and several private institutions.

* Our efforts to stop Newsom from replacing Dianne Feinstein with his
own crony ended in a qualified success. Though he absurdly appointed a
resident of Maryland, at least he was forced to choose someone who would
only serve on a temporary basis.

* Our "Collapse of San Francisco" address on the House Floor was a
major embarrassment to Newsom. CNN even then aired an hour-long special
on how the city is falling apart.

* After we blasted Newsom on Meet the Press for his "Reparations Task
Force" recommending $1.2 million cash payments, Newsom walked back his
support for the reparations payments.

* We got Newsom's Administration to back down from muzzling two
Stanford professors in a lawsuit over his school shutdowns. They will
now testify for the students in an upcoming trial against Newsom.

* After the California Supermajority killed a bill to make child sex
trafficking a serious felony, we shamed Newsom into lobbying the
Legislature to reverse course. The bill has now been signed into law.

* The Supermajority repealed the COVID medical "misinformation"
censorship law just one year after Newsom signed it, and also repealed
the Red State travel ban after we called attention to Newsom himself
violating it with a Montana vacation.

* After Newsom went on The Issue Is and claimed he allowed "local
control" during COVID, we went on the same show and exposed this as the
biggest lie in California political history.

* With a live fact check of Newsom's Fox News debate, followed by a
30-minute fact check on the Floor, we helped make Newsom's national
debut backfire. Fox News led its coverage with a headline reading
"Congressman calls California a warning for the nation."

Given Newsom's continued delusions about nationalizing Californa's
failures, and perhaps even running for President himself, our movement
to stop him will take on newfound urgency this coming year. That's why
Newsom has specifically recruited his own aide to run against us.

Thank you so much for your amazing support. And thank you for being in
the fight for our state and country's future. It is an honor to fight
alongside you.

Sincerely,
Kevin
