My, my, my, John – in 2023, MAGA Republicans were so unashamedly committed to their own agendas, it was clear they never spared a thought toward their constituents.
FIRST: Their inability to choose a Speaker kept Congress at a standstill for fifteen rounds of voting across four days.
THEN: Our lawmaking processes were held hostage again when that Speaker was removed – this time for three weeks until another extremist was voted in.
NOW: As we head into 2024, Floridians are still overlooked as MAGA Republicans like Ron DeSantis are more interested in their presidential bids than putting in the work to help the people who need it.
BUT: Despite the chaos Republicans created again and again, my biggest concern was, and always will be, acting in the best interest of my constituents – that's why I was proud to be a strong advocate for access to abortion and contraception, for crucial benefits for our seniors, and for the safety of everyone in our community.
John, the GOP is actively working to undo the progress we've made in these areas – I can't stand by as they try to flip this seat.
