We won major victories for housing in 2023. But we can't build on those wins and pass even bigger bills unless we elect more housing champions in 2024.

California YIMBY members like you helped pass important housing legislation, including SB 423 and AB 1633, this year to tackle our state's housing shortage and affordability crisis.

But our work isn't done.

The 2024 primary is fast approaching on March 5. Dozens of legislators will be termed out or are retiring. We need to make sure we elect housing champions to replace them, and build on our pro-housing momentum in the legislature.

California YIMBY is gearing up for what could be a crucial election year. That's why we have the California YIMBY Victory Fund: a political action committee that supports pro-housing candidates for elected office, and pro-housing ballot initiatives in California. Your contribution helps us support good candidates in the 2024 election.

The primary elections are often decisive in determining who will win the election. In recent years we've seen great housing candidates fall short in the primary, leaving us with one fewer vote in Sacramento.

We've also helped elect candidates who have transformed California housing policy, including Scott Wiener and Buffy Wicks. We can do it again in 2024. But we're going to need your help.

Because 2024 is a presidential year, the state's primary elections for legislative candidates is on March 5. That means voters will be receiving their ballots in early February. We only have a few weeks to get the message out in support of housing champions who are seeking seats in the Assembly and Senate.

We know that our legislative success in Sacramento is just the beginning of our work to solve California's housing shortage and affordability crisis. We're working on an ambitious legislative agenda. We need to make sure that we elect candidates who will vote YES for more homes in the years to come.
