On college campuses across the nation, we are witnessing unprecedented challenges to maintaining open and vibrant discourse. Oppressive gag orders and legislative intimidation bills have posed significant threats to the unfettered exchange of ideas in classrooms. And books throughout the country are being torn off the shelves, suppressing stories of diverse identities and silencing crucial voices.
