Friend -
With 2024 starting next week, I wanted to give you an idea of what I'm looking forward to - both in New Hampshire and beyond.
#1 - First off, and this has to top my list - I'm getting married! In Melissa I have truly found the love of my life and we are so eager and excited to get married and build our lives together. We'll be getting married in July.
#2 - The 2024 Legislative Session - this is a clear downgrade from the wedding but the upcoming Legislative Session presents so many great opportunities to advocate for the people of New Hampshire and pass legislation and debate policy solutions that will shape the 2024 election season. I'll be advancing legislation on child care, consumer tax relief, educational freedom accounts, and more. I'm excited to see how the legislation is received by my colleagues in the House and I hope we can enact some solid policy solutions for the Granite State.
#3 - A new Mayor in Manchester - Jay Ruais is sworn in next week as Manchester's Mayor and I am so excited to see what impact his leadership and the fresh approach he is going to take will have on the people of Manchester and all Granite Staters who work or do business in the city. Manchester has a real shot of entering a period of revival and I'm excited to see all that a Mayor Ruais will accomplish!
#4 - The 2024 Elections - Being a political person I am obviously looking forward to the Fall 2024 elections, but I am just as focused on the local municipal elections as well. In Salem we'll be campaigning for a new police station that meets the needs of the community while utilizing all available financing tools at our town's disposal to ease the tax burden of such an endeavor. I know other towns are having debates on a wide variety of topics on the town side and school side and I look forward to engaging with and helping local candidates get elected and served their communities throughout New Hampshire.
#5 - Continued growth for Granite Solutions - 2023 was a big year for Granite Solutions and I know 2024 will be even bigger. As we continue to build up our organization to be a force for good and promote fiscal conservatism throughout New Hampshrie, I know we can achieve even more victories in the years to come and that 2024 will be a pivotal year for our movement.
I'd love to hear about what you're most excited about as well! Feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected] or give me a call or shoot me a text at 603-327-7184.
Sincerely,
Rep. Joe Sweeney
