The most important deadline of our campaign is less than a week away.

After December 31, we will release our campaign’s next public finance report. Pundits, the press, and our opponents will use it to assess the strength of our campaign.

Every day I hear from people all over San Francisco who tell me they don’t feel safe in the neighborhoods where they live, work, shop, and raise their families.

I refuse to accept that. So I’m doing everything I can on the Board of Supervisors to curb the brazen crime that’s been putting our city in the national headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just recently, I led the passage of a new ordinance that will build trust between communities and police, deter retail theft and other crime, and make our neighborhoods safer than they’ve been in years.

We can get San Francisco back on track. I wouldn’t be running for mayor if I didn’t believe that. But I’m counting on your support to win the mayor’s race next year.
