This Holiday Season, choose to give...the Gift of Belonging!

Dear John,

At Egale, we are tirelessly working to combat hateful rhetoric that is harmful to 2SLGBTQI communities.

A recent decision from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in a case that Egale has intervened in, found that the term “groomer” is a slur used against drag performers that is “rhetoric based on hurtful, and hateful myths and stereotypes…”

“This is an important decision for 2SLGBTQI communities that comes at a time when we are facing unprecedented levels of hate, harassment, and violence fuelled by the spread of misinformation and disinformation. Egale will continue to fight against these homophobic and transphobic myths.”

– Helen Kennedy, Executive Director of Egale Canada

Egale has a long history of advocating and fighting for 2SLGBTQI people, and achieving legal victories.

And as we continue this fight, we need your support...

This Holiday Season, choose to give... the Gift of Belonging!

Please consider giving #TheGiftofBelonging and supporting our legal work all year through a gift of $10 or $20 per month:

We are so grateful for your incredible support, and for helping us stand up for 2SLGBTQI communities all year long!

Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful Holiday Season,

Your Friends at Egale Canada

Having a Lasting Impact

Assets, estates, and Wills can be a confusing, sensitive topic.

However, as proud partners with Will Power, we are raising awareness about the movement to create ethical Wills – where you can pass down your assets and values by supporting the causes you care about, while still taking care of your loved ones.

When you leave a charitable gift to Egale in your Will, you can continue to have a lasting, significant impact on the lives of 2SLGBTQI communities.
