Dear members and supporters,
These past two months have been filled with heartache, rage, fear, action, inspiration, and solidarity, with calls for a permanent ceasefire and valuing all lives. An important guiding principle at GGJ is grassroots internationalism, which supports self-determination in a joint struggle framework and acts to hold our government complicit in its harm and impact.
Our work identifies the connections between militarization, war, and climate change, and advances a vision for a feminist, anti-racist, and care-based economy. We reject extractive, exploitative systems steeped in patriarchy, colonialism, white supremacy, and capitalism — all propelled by polluting fossil fuels.
With our 65+ member groups, we are building a campaign to divest from war and policing and invest in the needs of our communities, like housing, healthcare, child and elder care, and access to healthy food and water. Our International Feminist Organizing School and developing political formation school are grounding our movements in the knowledge needed to make a just transition to a brighter, more regenerative future.
