Howdy John,
As we approach the end of 2023 and get ready for a new year, we thought we’d take a look back and highlight a few of our accomplishments over the past year.
✅ We supported Democrats' wins across the state in November’s election. Democrats swept the Douglas County and Adams 12 school board races. Progressive candidates won three seats on the Gunnison County school board. We also won seats in Prowers County, Mancos, Jefferson County, Loveland, Cherry Creek, and Greeley. We elected city councilors and mayors in Las Animas, Arvada, Lakewood, Broomfield, Thornton, Westminster, and Loveland — and that’s just a sampling of wins across the state!
Some of the most important decisions affecting our lives, from housing to giving our kids a world-class education, are made close to home. That’s why we are focused on electing more Democrats to local offices.
✅ We built an unprecedented voter outreach program for November’s election. Because there’s no such thing as “off years” here at CDP, just “build years.” We had conversations with more than 200,000 voters and saw significantly higher turnout than in similar years, surpassing 2019 and 2021’s Democratic turnout!
✅ We launched The 546 Project, our grassroots initiative to kick Lauren Boebert out of office in 2024 and build a long-term organizing infrastructure in Western Colorado.
✅ We launched The Horizon Project, our deep canvassing training initiative to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Colorado’s 8th Congressional District.
The work we’ve put in this year is also about laying the groundwork and building the momentum Democrats will need to win in 2024.
With our end-of-year fundraising deadline coming up in just a few days, one of the more effective ways you can support our priorities, defeat Lauren Boebert, and support Democrats across the state is by chipping in a few dollars today. Even just $2 helps make a difference >>
