We never thought we’d see it happen under Democratic rule in Illinois… But the legal system has seen through and former Alderman Ed Burke was found guilty on charges of racketeering, bribery, and extortion. While this alone won’t fix decades of corruption in our state, this is a vital first step.
But this sort of activity isn’t surprising. Illinois Democrats are notorious for their corruption and abuse of the public trust. From Burke to Blagojevich to Senator Sandoval, Senator Link, and so much more; public officials must continue to be held accountable for their abuse of the public trust.
We are the ONLY PARTY on the ballot in 2024 that will put a stop to this because we’ve committed ourselves in our platform to rooting out corruption wherever and whenever we see it.
