What would a Dean Phillips presidency look like? A melting pot of ideas.
Government is like a business — where you have competing ideas, competing perspectives, and you have competition not with each other, but for each other.
We need to repair America. To do so, I make one commitment: I will have the most diverse cabinet, not just in terms of races and religions, but in terms of politics, in history. I will have a Youth Cabinet for the first time in American history.

During my time in Congress, I initiated a Youth Advisory Council for High School Students. It allowed these young minds to engage directly with me, sharing their perspectives on the happenings in Congress. It was an enlightening experience, and I am eager to expand this model to a national level.
Do I want the very best and brightest to join this administration? Absolutely. Good ideas come from anywhere, not just from one perspective. I will surround myself with diversity and a team of rivals.
The average age in Congress is 57, and in the Senate, it's 65. Contrast that with the average age in the United States, which is 38. It’s no wonder there’s a disconnect between Washington and Main Street.

Younger people bring unique experiences, especially growing up in the age of social media and technology. They understand our world in ways that the current Congress frankly don’t.
