It takes bold action to push lawmakers to act with the urgency we need to confront the climate crisis. It takes courage to oppose the fossil fuel industry and other powerful forces that threaten our future. It takes substantial infrastructure and people organizing power to deliver on the change that's needed in every corner of the country to confront the climate crisis and safeguard the future for all.

I can't ignore the amount of work and resources it takes to do this, and I won't pretend that progress comes immediately or easily.


But I have met with Sierra Club supporters like you all across the country, and I know how much you care about every acre of forest and every mile of river. I have seen the innovation of scientists and researchers who are finding ways to power our world with clean energy, and of activists who are pulling vulnerable wildlife back from the edge of extinction. I have heard from so many young people who are ready to fight for their future.


Together, we are capable of doing great things—from protecting public lands from development, to nurturing the recovery of endangered wildlife, to accelerating the transition to clean energy. It starts with you.
