This is little Hamdia from Ethiopia, who was at risk of losing her sight to trachoma. Left untreated, this highly contagious disease could lead to severe eye pain – or even irreversible blindness – for this young child.

But trachoma is entirely treatable – and all it takes is a simple dose of antibiotics!

Right now, children like Hamdia need your help to get the sight-saving antibiotics they need. The risk of trachoma infection is alarmingly high for children throughout Ethiopia. Today, over 9 million children under the age of nine have an active trachoma infection.
