We know that, like all of us working at Earthjustice, our supporters, clients, and partners are contending with disruption and great uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to underscore how deeply we appreciate all of you and extend our heartfelt well-wishes.

We are doing everything in our power to keep our Earthjustice colleagues safe and healthy, and we are honoring our social responsibility to help limit the spread of this virus. As such, Earthjustice has canceled travel and is executing a full shift to remote work.

Meanwhile, I am extremely proud of all the terrific work that our staff has done in short order to ensure there is little interruption in our representation of clients and minimal gap in our vigilance. Thanks to your steadfast support, we have been able to invest in the advanced technology that will enable us to keep up the fight and carry on the mission. And we are able, as always, to represent our clients at no charge.

While it is impossible to forecast the future, we can anticipate that attacks on the environment, our bedrock laws, science-based governance — and the rule of law itself — will continue. And whether we are working from office desks or kitchen tables, we will be doing what we do best: challenging lawlessness and pushing relentlessly for solutions that will protect people and the planet, now and for the future.

In this time of mandated “social distancing,” I remind myself of the strong community that we share. What my amazing colleagues at Earthjustice have in common is irrepressible passion for our mission and tireless dedication to advancing it — no matter what. We know the same is true of you. We know we will get through this together.
