The US Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is suspending daily driving limit rules for truck drivers transporting medical equipment, hand sanitizer, food, staff needed to deploy or run quarantine facilities and short-term housing and "people being moved for medical, isolation or quarantine purposes." The move -- which does not apply to routine deliveries or mixed loads -- marks the first nationwide relaxation of the regulations.
