I know we’re just coming off the holidays, but I need to talk to you. Right now, I’m gearing up for the most critical deadline of my reelection campaign so far: Our LAST FEC end-of-quarter deadline before the election year begins.

This is a public-facing deadline, which means that after midnight on December 31, everyone will see exactly where we stand financially — and we need to show my far-right, extremist opponent that this people-powered campaign is kicking off 2024 strong.

Time and time again, I’ve told you that people like my opponent, Speaker Mike Johnson and Donald Trump are dead-set on taking back this seat for Republicans. Exceeding our goal in the face of this deadline is critical to ensuring that doesn’t happen.

This is a huge deal, John, so we’re setting a huge goal: $30,000.

Flipping this seat blue in 2022 was tough, John. I wasn’t hand-picked by the establishment, and I had to fend off attacks from my opponent and her right-wing accomplices at every turn. I won by just 1,350 votes — the closest margin in the entire country.

But holding this seat in 2024 is going to be even harder. I’m in a toss-up rematch against that very same opponent — someone who voted to take away women’s choice, de-certify the results of the 2020 election and slash funding for New Mexico — and she just received the endorsement of “MAGA Mike” Johnson.

We need to be ready for anything they could throw our way. That’s why I need Team Vasquez to come together stronger than ever. We must hit this goal, John. Falling short now is simply not an option.
