John: Let me tell you a story about why I decided to run for Congress.

For the past 40 years, I was a TV news anchor, telling the stories of Central Pennsylvanians. I reported on the brokenness of our healthcare system and told the stories of families who couldn’t afford their utility bills. I spent 40 years putting a spotlight on injustice every chance I got.

Then I saw something that horrified me. On January 6th, 2021 and the days following, I saw my Congressman, Scott Perry, inciting unrest, spreading conspiracy theories, and plotting to overturn our votes.

I’m running for Congress because we deserve better.

But right now, I’m up against the most important deadline of this campaign so far – the final End-of-Quarter deadline of 2023, and I’m aiming to raise $30,000 by Sunday at midnight.

Now that might seem like an insurmountable number, but it’s critical that I meet that goal. Why? Because come January, dark money groups and big-shot Republican donors will be able to see how much I raised and if I look vulnerable, they’re going to pour even more money into Scott Perry’s campaign.

We can’t let that happen. Will you pitch in $10 or even $50 to help me meet my goal and send Scott Perry packing come 2024?

We have a real shot at flipping this district, but I can’t do it without your help. I’m counting on you, John.
