Friend,
What a wild year to look back on.
It would be easy to get stuck thinking about the inaction that the failed Republican leadership caused, but the truth is we got a lot done, no thanks to them. Despite challenges that went farther than any of us anticipated, we were still able to make 2023 a wildly successful year.
In 2021 and 2022, we passed massive pieces of legislation that our working families, cities, towns, and states began to feel the impact of this year. Programs and funding from the American Rescue Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and the Bipartisan Gun Safety Package started across New York and America, creating jobs, lowering everyday costs, and rebuilding vital infrastructure.

This year, our office also brought $15 million home to fund organizations and programs through the Federal Community Projects Fund.

$500,000 for the Chinese American Planning Council to support the 1,100 AAPI community members they serve through their Community Recovery and Safety Services Initiative. $800,000 to enhance how STEM connects with sustainability and healthy living at 20 New York Public Schools.
This year, despite the constant challenges in Congress, my Democratic colleagues and I worked to ensure that we could still move our communities forward.
It is because of your ongoing support that I’ve been able to bring these meaningful investments into our communities. Your support in 2024 will help me bring more resources back to our communities and win back the House so we can build on what we’ve already accomplished.
At the end of the day, I know I'll never have a bad year as long as I'm serving our communities in NY-7,
Nydia
