John,
As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on just how big a toll gun violence takes on our communities.
Two months ago, the year’s worst mass shooting occurred in Lewiston, ME, when a gunman armed with an assault weapon senselessly killed 18 people and injured 13 others. The truth of our country is that no one is safe from gun violence – but this does not have to be an inevitability, John.
In the eleven short years the Alliance has been in existence, we have helped Washington State pass common sense laws aimed at keeping our communities safe, including Extreme Risk Protection Orders, a high capacity magazine ban, and most recently an assault weapon ban, among others.
As a result of your support and the work of the Alliance, communities in Washington state are safer and we have become a national leader in passing gun safety measures which aim to prevent this exact type of atrocity.
As we end 2023 and look towards a New Year, let’s join together and make it harder for tragedies like this to happen again.
Can I count on you to donate $25, $50, or even $100 to help us sustain the amazing work we have achieved ? [[link removed]]
John, I have been so grateful for the support you have shown us over the years. We would not have been able to achieve what we have without it. I hope that as the year wraps up, you can find it in your heart to continue to support the life saving work of the Alliance.
In gratitude,
