When you’ve seen me in person at events or at committee hearings, you may have seen my nails painted and been curious about the color choice or why I paint my nails in the first place. I get a lot of questions about it, and sometimes some funny looks, and I wanted to take the time to share with you the story of how this started.
When my daughter Bella was younger she would ask to paint my nails, initially I would only let her paint my pinky nails and over time as she got older and my schedule got busier it became so much more, especially now that she is out of the home in college. Every month when my daughter comes home to visit she paints my nails, it allows us undisturbed time to connect and talk about the many things going on in our lives, this is time I cherish. I have to admit, I’ve gotten into it over time. My daughter has full creative freedom over my nail color. Recently my nails were very festive, red and white to resembling candy canes!
I hate to keep asking, but we have an important fundraising deadline coming up and the primary is around the corner. I need to continue to raise as much as I can to make sure we can talk to as many voters as possible. I wanted to try to make this a fun and creative way for you to get YOU involved. Everyone that donates today will be entered in a drawing to select my next nail color! Yes, you read that correctly. You can pick my next nail color and Bella will incorporate it into her design. 💅
Contribute today to be entered into the drawing to pick my next nail color! ([link removed])
