WYDOT receives $24.3 million federal grant for Kemmerer wildlife crossing project

In a victory for transportation safety and wildlife, the Wyoming Department of Transportation will receive a $24.3 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to complete a wildlife crossing project south of Kemmerer.

Hunters who had tissue samples collected from their deer, elk or moose this hunting season for chronic wasting disease testing can easily check the results on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department?s website.

Avian influenza guidance for waterfowl hunters

Waterfowl hunting season is in full swing and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has confirmed several reports of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the Laramie region. Waterfowl mortalities due to HPAI have been documented in the Torrington and Wheatland areas.
