When I came out in college, I knew I was interested in a career in public service, but I feared that I would have to face a serious choice between pursuing the field of my dreams or living my authentic life openly.

After seeing others in the LGBTQ+ community demonstrate acts of courage by coming out, being themselves, and being public about who they are, I came to realize that I could both run for office and be true to myself.

I was elected as the first openly gay Senator and I’ve been fighting to make a difference in peoples’ lives ever since. But as a Senator in a swing state like Wisconsin, where elections are won and lost by razor thin margins, the GOP has made me a top target to defeat.

Republicans are recruiting TWO far-right megamillionaires to run against me in 2024 — because they know only wealthy self-funders can make up for what the GOP’s deeply unpopular right-wing views lack in grassroots support.

My campaign’s very last public fundraising deadline before 2024 is coming up, and showing up strong is the most meaningful way to prove we have what it takes to keep Wisconsin blue as this race kicks into high gear.

We’ve come so far, but Republicans are hell bent on taking us backwards — and stopping them all comes down to defending our Democratic Senate majority. Will you pitch in toward my campaign’s final fundraising goal of the year to help send me back to the Senate?
