Dear friends,

I hope you are all safe and healthy at home. In accordance with CDC [[link removed]] guidelines, we’ve decided to cancel our May rally (May 3rd) and advocacy day (May 4th). Instead, we’re in the process of planning a digital campaign and set of advocacy activities for the week of Mother’s Day. While we may all be disappointed, I’m certain that this decision will lead us on a path that’s even more impactful. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.

During these uncertain times, we must continue to be strong advocates for the support and dignity of mothers. My younger sister is due this week with her first child and I anticipate she will be deprioritized (necessarily) by the health care system - - a system that over the past few days has been exposed for what we all know to be very fragile. This moment presents us with an opportunity to be creative about how we approach meaningful policy change for the mothers and families who now more than ever need our support. I’m hopeful for the day we are on the other side of all of this and look forward to making even more meaningful change together.

To those of you on the front lines, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With gratitude,

Katie
