Fundación Proyecto Tití is so close to securing this whole area.

John -- our local partner is 90 percent there...and have until
31 December to raise the last $100,000 they need!

If you chip in, we can rush them a donation to purchase and protect the
acres still under threat -- and give cotton-tops the space they need to
recover and thrive. Can you help save these cotton-top tamarins?

John,

How cool is this -- right now we can buy nearly 1000 acres of threatened
Colombian tropical forest and give a fighting chance to critically
endangered turtles and monkeys!

Thanks to the rampant destruction of their forest home, there are fewer
than 7000 of the charismatic cotton-top tamarins left in the wild -- and
deforestation is picking up speed.

But our local partner, Fundación Proyecto Tití, is on the cusp of
purchasing and protecting -- forever! -- a critical piece of land that
will give these monkeys the space they need to recover and thrive.

Two years ago, we helped Proyecto Tití buy more than 100 acres of forest –
and they did it! That land is protected. Now if 5000 of us chip in the
cost of a cup of coffee in the next 24 hours, we can rush Proyecto Tití
the cash to get started on their work protecting this new stretch of
forest. Can you help save these cotton-top tamarins?

The northern tropical forests of Colombia are deeply endangered due to
farm expansion and other development. Cotton-top tamarins are among the
most impacted species — this is the only place on the planet they are
found, and they’ve seen a dramatic population decline in recent years.

It isn’t only the cotton-tops (although they are very cute). The area is
home to spider and howler monkeys, scarlet macaws...and the critically
endangered Dahl’s toad-headed turtle. If we can buy this land, it would
become one of the only protected areas in the world where the turtle
lives.

A local organization called Fundación Proyecto Tití is working on
protecting the whole area. They already blocked the creation of a
clear-cutting cattle ranch – and we helped them buy over 100 acres just a
couple of years ago. Now they have a chance to secure even more.
John, this land that we can buy is ten times bigger than last
time. It's critical to the project, massively expanding the safe home area
where the tamarins and other animals can settle by not only buying more
forest, but also buying a large cattle ranch to convert into forest.

It’s not often you get the chance to buy a piece of tropical forest. Will
you be one of the 5000 donors we need to help buy this land? Every extra
penny we raise will be used to protect wild places like this from
corporations bent on their destruction.
