A couple weeks ago, I was a guest for Jon Lovett, from Pod Save America, on his Lovett or Leave It podcast. I am reaching out to share what I said, in case you haven’t listened to my episode.
Donald Trump said that if he wins the presidential election in 2024, he will try to repeal the Affordable Care Act, landmark legislation that has insured millions of Americans.
As a doctor, I know our healthcare system is flawed. Part of the reason I ran for Congress was to expand health insurance coverage for more Americans, shake the influence of big pharmaceutical companies’ over Congress, and lower prescription drug prices for patients, just like the ones I served as a pediatrician in Adams County.
If Donald Trump and my MAGA opponents win next November, they will repeal the ACA with no viable replacement and strip millions of working families of health insurance.
I can’t allow dangerous extremism to go unchallenged. Whether I’m on a podcast, in Colorado knocking on doors, or in Washington D.C. pushing back against MAGA extremism and corporate interests, I will always fight for working families.
The harsh reality is Donald Trump and my MAGA opponents are gearing up to spend millions in Colorado to smear my record. No matter what they say, please know that I will never stop fighting for you - no matter who I’m up against.
