I hope this email finds you well and filled with the same excitement and determination that I have for the year ahead. Even as we mourn the loss of our beloved founder Norman, there is much to build on what we’ve accomplished together in 2023. We continue to be inspired by our collective dedication to preserving the values of American democracy.
First and foremost, let's celebrate the victories powered by you, our dedicated supporters! So far, the Biden administration has successfully confirmed over 165 fair-minded federal judges who will play a crucial role in upholding justice and protecting our rights from right-wing extremists. This demonstrates the power of our advocacy and the positive impact we can make as we continue pressuring the Senate to fill all remaining vacancies.
In Virginia, we flipped the House and kept the Democratic majority in the Senate, blocking Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s radical agenda—including his plans to pass a sweeping abortion ban in the state. Our tireless campaigning and support played a pivotal role in electing representatives who will fight for progressive policies that benefit all Virginians. We sent a message to Republicans across the country that voters are opposed to their extremism. This victory is a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating positive change at every level of government.
We also stand firm in the face of attempts to ban and censor books. By pushing back, we sent a clear message that we will not allow anyone to infringe upon our right to hear and learn about diverse ideas and perspectives.
Looking ahead to 2024, our core mission is to remain steadfast. This year presents us with a challenge like no other – to turn back Trump Republicans who will undermine everything we hold dear. We will continue fighting for justice, equality, and inclusivity while championing progressive policies that benefit every American.
Together, let's raise our voices even louder, continue mobilizing communities, and work towards securing a brighter future for all.
