Let’s win groundbreaking reforms to Congress!

John,

For more than a decade, partisan gridlock has paralyzed our legislative process, preventing Congress from addressing our nation’s biggest issues.

But, right now, there is a bipartisan Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress that’s working hard to make the legislative branch function better. The select committee was a direct result of the work of the Rebuild Congress Initiative, a project of Issue One.

The select committee is helping to once again make Congress fulfill its role as a co-equal branch of government that serves the American people — late last month, it unanimously adopted a package of 24 strong recommendations that would help members of Congress better serve their constituents.

We need to organize across the country to support the select committee’s recommendations. Pitch in $5 or more today to support Issue One’s work to fix our broken political system.

We are working to ensure that the select committee thinks big and develops bold solutions to modernize and improve Congress.

It is time to end partisan gridlock and put the American people first. We have a chance to fix our nation’s most significant problems, and the bipartisan Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress is the best opportunity in decades to do so.

Donate to Issue One today to ensure that our elected officials fix our broken political system.

Thank you for all that you do to strengthen our democracy,

Meredith McGehee
