I wanted to send a quick update about our fundraising since we’re just a few days away from the end of 2023.
Over the last few years, our movement and our party have grown through the generosity of individuals who share our vision, doing what they can. For some folks, that is giving $1 or $3 at a time — while others are able to give more.
I’m excited to share that thanks to a generous (real!) individual donor, we will be able to match ALL online contributions from right now through the end of the year. That means when you contribute $1, $5, or $10 today through December 31st, the impact of your contribution will be doubled.

Since I started at WFP almost five years ago, we have seen both surges and downturns in fundraising. The effort to deny Trump a second term in 2020 alongside a resurgence in the movement to defend Black life, the opportunity to flip the senate in 2021 through Georgia, and our work to help make the “red wave” a myth in 2022 were all accompanied by increases in donations.
In between those moments, and in electoral “off-years” like 2023, we’ve gone through some more challenging stretches. But through it all, thanks to donors who believe in our vision, we have been able to maintain a stable footing.
At the Working Families Party, our long-term vision is of a society rooted in equality, dignity, solidarity, and compassion, where everyone has a voice — regardless of how much money you have. Our vision requires building governing power by and for working class people of all races. And it calls for out-organizing corporate and conservative donors by pooling our resources together to build our financial independence.
