John, may we present the First Poem In the History of Campaign Emails*

‘Twas the day after Christmas
And all through our campaign
People were scurrying.
Here let me explain…

Though Andrei’s supporters are
All snug in their beds
The countdown to the deadline
Keeps ticking ahead

While the New Year’s approaching
And you’re still enjoying your tree
There’s an end of December
Report to the FEC

All through the months
Of the calendar year
Andrei’s lead had been building;
His momentum so clear

With the donations of thousands
And no corporate PACs
Andrei had shown the support
That David Schweikert so lacks

But while our friends are enjoying
Their goodies or coal
We awoke after Christmas
Behind on our goal

With New Year’s Eve coming fast
We’re not popping champagne
But worried our shortfall
Will derail our train

So Andrei asks you to help us
With a contribution – or two
So he can bring to the Congress
Some representation that’s new

Andrei’s the best leader
And a heck of a guy
So help him say “Merry Christmas to All…
And to Schweikert: Good bye.”
